What are you guys going to do on the anniversary of World War One?
Ps. don't make it about politics, think about the guys that went out to trenches and shared their meals during christmas with the other side

Nothing, wasn't there.

I'm your on side Hammer_Time, i'd probably get shit wasted with different kind of beers.. but doing nothing, these men died and i think about them weekly, they ran over their trench and had to die. It's goddamn 100 years since those people had to die

I wasn't there, I don't know anyone who was.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think of those who decided to take a day off from killing each other, they went right back to killing each other with guns, knives, and bare hands the next day.

the christmas truce wasn't universal btw, fighting took place and in many regions the truce was limited to agreeing to allow one another to pick up dead bodies....... it wasn't a day where the world stopped, sighed and sang kumbaya.
probably crack a beer and toast those that fought for our countries
is that why we fought world war I?

I know what kickstarted the war but I'm not so sure it was a war about conquest..... it became clear within a month that conquest wasn't going to happen, so why did it go on for several more years?
