Hello.

I don't know if you guys visiting there but now comments section is war zone. Avon4Balls, BestJinjo and linuxlowdown are fighting in every AMD/Intel/Nvidia news topic. Hide low rated posts isn't helping at all. They are using multiple accounts to vote up their own post. This reminds me thumbs drama at Fudzilla.com. Please take actions.

Unfortunately the forum moderation and comment moderation are completely separate - user acounts etc. everything :-( We've made this point before but the XBit team want it that way, so we mods can do nothing, however we can flag this and hope they read your post and comment here . . . sorry we cannot do more . . .

Nope, was referring to all the "haters" that hate on the X-bit article's feedback section in general. It is a separate system that we have no control over as Celt stated, so anything and everything gets hated on there... I don't even read the comments on articles anymore due to that...

Dire surmised my response correctly. :)

I would really like it if that coment section was somehow integrated with the forums. I do read them sometimes and it doesn't feel good that it appears to be unmoderated.

agreed it's pointless to even post there but more than that the whole section is a mess.

conversation layout is a disaster instead of the last comment being at the top it's at the bottom, replys get lost.... the whole section is worthless..... and it should have been linked to the forums.

that said just join the forum and post the article you want to discuss, no trolls present and a more civil atmosphere.

I agree...

unlike the other mods, I am kinda glad I don't have to deal with it to be honest, a lot more work for the mods if this were the case obviously. However, if Ilya ( Gavric - site owner along with Anna ) asked me to I would of course, but I realize it would take a lot to clean that place up as Clone mentioned. Can you imagine how much those haters on there would hate being suddenly "moderated" after having free reign there for years now?? The backlash would be immense and most likely a good deal of them would get banned, not before a huge amount of flame wars happened first of course for us trying to reign them in...just saying... it would not be "pretty".

All he needs to do is add a link under the story to a special thread for comments of the article right here, first post being that article.
I don't know if he can make the participants there a member of these forums, else they just have to register.
Moderating them is some extra work but that won't last very long.

Mebbe we should appoint a forum advertiser to post comments pointing readers to the forums if they want a more civilised discussion . . .
