Obama now president

Postby <R.t..>^>Fusionc » Tue Jan 20, 2009 9:12 am

8 Minutes ago according to the constitution without taking an oath.

Well, he did make a microphone gaffe, but that didn't matter. There was a communication conflict between him and the guy who was reciting the oath.

Anyway, he is now the President and we will all look at him very closely to see if he actually delivers.

I guess one of the worst things that can happen with his campaign promises is the continued partisanship in both level of houses and the diving economic downturn, either slowing or even not delivers on some of his promises.

And a terrorist attack is not impossible either in his first term.

Enough of by rambling, I congratulate Obama and his family.

For such a smooth talker (especially compared to Bush!) it's too bad he messed up the swearing in!! Surely he had those few lines memorized...

Anyways, Here we go... better be fo'real!

Hell, if I was about to swear in, I'd screw up too. As for his Inaugural Speech, is was forgettable. Nothing amazing, no awesome one-liners. Just a lot of ideas.

*looks at time above my first post* Hmm. I said 8 minutes when I posted. It did say 9:08AM when I posted but the server reported it at 9:12AM. Weird. xD

Hoping for the best here! Of course he won't be able to deliver on all of his promises ( look at the MESS he inherits from Shrubby! :x ) but if he delivers on at least some of them it is a step in the right direction. Optimistic but also cautious and wary here...

Congrats to Obama and his team for making it in the door finally!! 8)

too early to say , give him a year ... but...perhaps you are right. I'm worried about congress and senate understanding to whom they serve

Obama isn't my president. In fact, we don't have one here. And he should not screw up anything, but maybe I should add: as badly as Bush did..

You don't have a president? Maybe PM? Or maybe, you are the leader yourself? :P

Wow, I learned something today. The origin of Sauron. God, that pic reminds me of My Bloody Valentine. Will post up a review on that tomorrow.

Yes, we have a PM. His name is Balkenende. But he can't make decisions on his own.

Seems to be a common problem today.
